Sawgrass Mills, Sunrise, Florida

Sawgrass Mills, a top destination for locals and tourists in Sunrise, Florida, a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale, is the sixth largest mall in the United States. Working with such a large-scale site, RSM Design was challenged with creating a wayfinding system that successfully navigated visitors to the four avenues throughout the mall. A signage program that seamlessly integrated large-scale numbers, patterns, and colors in the exterior and interior spaces defined each avenue in a bold and cohesive system to make clear the organization of this Mills project. Large-scale ceiling graphics, lighting features, furniture, and fabrics were also implemented within the project to enhance the sense of place and visually intensify the visitor's experience.
